Specs:
P8H61M LE 3.0 asus motherboard
2x4gb HyperX 1333 ram
Nvidia gtx 750 2gb
i5 2320 (old) i7 3770 (new) CPU
600W psu
Long story short, my i5 2320 was overheating to 99C at idle with good cooler and paste. Was thinking it was the cpu so i got an i7 3770. Put my i7 in and the power would light on and off repeatedly. I thought it was bios so tried using my old cpu to start the pc for an update. In between i noticed a bent iGpu pin on the socket, and while trying to fix it I broke 2 others. Put my old cpu in and the pc would run, but no display. Tried vga dvi, tried everything on the problem elimination process. So my questions are: what was causing the 99c overheat, is the display issue from the broken pins, is my new cpu good and all it needed was an bios update, or is my motherboard all that needs replacing?
P.s. i had no beeps because the speaker pins had no connection.
Thank you.
