Hi,
I Overclocked my Asus rog strix gtx 1080 little bit means roughly 5-6% but i dont wanna put Fan on manual speed.I like auto fan mode.So when its not using fan dont run.But in Manual fan will run whole the time even when i system is idle.i want to know is this safe to put fan in Auto when its overclocked?

Solution
You can change the fan curve to be whatever you want it to be in afterburner. Using the stock fan profile is fine as well. 72c is fine for load temp.

It should be fine, your GPU will be programmed to change fan speed as it gets hotter. Most GPUs don't start spinning until they reach a certain temperature (which can be around 55/60 degrees).

Just leave it on Auto for now, monitor your GPU temperatures, and then manually change if you think temperatures are becoming extreme. But most GPUs can run very hot quite easily, with no concerns.
