Hi.I plan to buy a Ryzen 3 1200 and i plan to overclock it.so first question: Is MSI B350 GAMING PLUS good for overclocking this CPU? I would like to reach about 4GHz. Second question: Can i overclock with 400W psu? its Seasonic Energy Knight SS-400ET 400W I dont have much money to buy a new PSU because i have to buy a new HDD. My current PC takes around 280W.Thanks for help.

It would be hard to get to 4GHz with the Ryzen 1200. I can see 3.7. Also the X370 would give you more options if you want to fine tune all the overclocking settings but the B350 should be able to overclock, just with less settings to choose from.

With a good CPU lottery, you might be able to get to 4GHz but don't count on it.

The PSU will depend on what else you are running on your computer. Do you have a Vega GPU? Then it's not enough. Do you have a GTX 1050Ti? Then it's probably fine.

the b350 mobo should be fine but i would recommend at least a 600w psu for overclocking but it deepens on the cpu lottery i dought that you will get a chip that cant go past 3.5 but is possible also get a good cooler a aio if possible but if not a cryorig h7 should be good enuf to get to 3.6 good luck!

I have GTX 1050 and a SilentiumPC Spartan 3 LT HE1012 on my current FX 6300 so ill probably buy the AM4 upgrade kit ;) i think the 400W PSU will be enough. Many people say that the CPU can go to 3.7 GHz without problems but ill try to get it higher. Thanks for help everyone.Btw i have money just for PSU,HDD,RAM and motherboard.
