I am currently using a Cooler Master GeminII S524 Ver.2. Now it comes with a 120mm fan that attaches to the motherboard CPU OPT for power and PWM. The quest is that I have a 140mm Thermaltake Riing plus premium fan that uses a proprietary connector via fan controller. That is not an issue to power it with as I already have the setup in place. Can I use the 140mm fan with out using the CPU OPT header and not fry the thing?
CPU Fan cooling. Can it be done?
