I've looked through many threads and haven't found a solution to my problem.

Radeon r9 390
AMD FX-4200 quad core processor
EVGA supernova 750w bronze psu
16G RAM
ASUS M5A7BL-MLX Plus mobo(I'm assuming this is the name of the mobo, its printed on the front.)

Anyways, I left my computer running for about an hour while I gave my friend a ride home from work. I came back to a black screen and I assumed it was the screensaver so I wiggled the mouse and pressed the arrow keys in an attempt to bring my screen back up, but nothing happened. I tried ctrl+alt+delete and wasn't getting anywhere.

I then tried to power the system down by holding down the power button, but no matter how long I held the button down the computer would not power off. I came to toms hardware looking for answers so I read some threads and tried a few things such as removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes. I reseated all the cords connected to the power supply. I tried booting from other hard drives. I tried putting my old GPU back in to see if I could get somewhere.

Also, the GPU fans are not spinning. Even after seating my old card, the fans did not spin on that one either.

UPDATE: Used a multimeter to test the PSU and everything is reading within range.

This is extremely tragic for me as I have lots of important files for school on this computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'll be checking back on this thread very often. Thanks in advance.

I am beginning to think it's a motherboard problem. The multimeter read within range on all 24 ports that connect to the motherboard. Do you have any advice for me?
