G.Skill Ripjaws 4 compatibility with MSI B350 Tomahawk

I decided to go for a Ryzen build for my first PC and used the parametric filter from pcpartpicker.com to determine the best RAM. It spit out the G.Skill Ripjaws 4 F4-3000C15D-16GRBB and upon reading the QVL for the MSI B350 Tomahawk I noticed that it was not listed there. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me wether the RAM I decided to use is compatible with my Motherboard.

That memory kit may work, but most likely at a lower frequency.

You can use any ddr4 ram for the b350 tomahawk and yes it will run at a much lower frequency but you can just turn on the xmp profile in the bios once you assembled it so that it will run to its advertised speed

The motherboard and CPU must be natively capable of the RAM specs without additional tweaking in order for XMP to work. You can find out which hardware combinations are certified in this manner by taking a look at the G.Skill QVL or RAM Configurator.

Just always use the updated version of bios for better compatibilty
