Hi all, I'm trying to upgrade my friend's hard drive to an SSD. I'm a lot more familiar and comfortable with upgrading anything for Windows PC's easy plug and play but not particularly MacBooks or anything Mac related.
I looked around online to try and see if there was anything that I need and to see any differences between Windows and Mac OS installation. From what I've gathered so far I need to change the hard drive format of the SSD to a certain type? Can I do that on a Windows PC or does it have to be a Mac?
Is there a video out there somewhere that goes through the step by step process of installing a fresh hard drive to a MacBook Pro?
Do MacBooks have an internal operating system where I can just simply put in a new hard drive? Or is it like Windows where you put in the hard drive and the OS installation CD/USB and let it run for a fresh start?
