Hey guys, I'm new to pc building but have knowledge in pc parts. I am strongly considering building my own mid range pc and was wondering whether this buildwould be okay. I would like some feedback and improvements where possible, thanks

GPU: Asus GTX 1060 3GB dual
Motherboard: MSI-B250 pro-vdx micro ATX
Memory: corsair vengeance LPX 16gb
Storage: (I have one from a laptop)
Case: nzxt - Phantom 410
PSU: corsair CSM 550W 80+ gold
Case fans: Corsair - Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition (2-Pack) 62.7 CFM 120mm Fans
NOTE! I only got 2 because the case comes with three

If you want to overclock. You need a Z270 chipset. Given all that cooling you want to overclock well. In that case you need at least a mid grade Motherboard.

Yeah thanks for that, I would potentially be overclocking so the upgrade would be needed, I really just need to keep the price under or around $1300 so would there be any ways to reduce the price that is immediately visible, ie downgrade CPU or GPU?

The NZXT Phantom 240 looks quite similar to the 410. The built in dual 120mm should be fine. You can always add more. If you can find them in your country the Arctic F12 PWM are an excellent value for air flow, low noise and high static pressure.

You can save on the CPU, GPU and RAM. Unless you are stuck to certain stores.

The Corsair CXM "Grey Unit" is also a Tier 3 PSU.

If you aren't stuck on the i5. A Ryzen 5 1600 will get you there with a GTX 1060 6GB. So, it will be a better gaming computer.

You lose a lot of performance potential with an i5-7500.

If you are set on getting the NZXT 410 case. Go with this build. That way you don't make any sacrifices in performance or quality. You can get good overclocks with the OEM AMD Wraith Spire heatsink included with the Ryzen 5 1600. Later on, you can get a higher quality aftermarket unit if you want. It's better to omit something not necessary rather than reduce the quality or performance of key core components.
