Buying a gaming pc for the first time

Hello

I need an over kill gaming rig to be able to play recent total war games

P. S--> am not interested in 4k
P. S -> must contain gtx 1080, i7 7700k for future overclocking
P. S-> budget is 1000-1200 (1080p is enough for me)

I will appreciate it if you post a Link for parts directly from newegg

Are you in a hurry? If not, wait for coffee lake I7-8700k instead

Much more powerful than I7-7700k, gtx 1080 is a little bit overkill for 1080p gaming...

I can wait until prices drop but i dont think ill go for the 8700k

wow. that gpu works really well with that cpu with only a 4% bottleneck. i don't think it would be worth upgrading the core because most of the performance would be wasted on the bottleneck from upgrading

look honestly your budget is a bit small for such specs and you don't need such a future proof pc, it will probably break down before you get a productive amount of usage from that cpu and gpu

I dont care as long as i get 60fps in total war warhammer on max settings
