Help with PC upgrades

Hi, so I was wondering what kinds of upgrades I will need for my current gaming rig. I was looking to get a Ryzen 5 1600 CPU and a GeForce 1060 GPU 6gb but wasn't sure if there is anything else I will need to upgrade along with these such as PSU or MOBO. My current specs are:

Processor: AMD FX-4300 3.8GHz 4-Core Processor
Motherboard: AMD 760G Chipset
Video Card: GeForce GT 730 2GB GDDR3 Video Card
Memory: 8GB DDR3 Gaming Memory
Power Supply: 430 Watt High Performance PSU
HDD: 1 TB 7200RPM HDD
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64-bit
Output: 7 X USB 2.0, 1 x DVI, 1 x VGA, 1 x HDMI, 24 X DVD ROM

Or if there is too much to upgrade (since I know this is kinda bad for gaming and streaming), should I just look to get a whole new computer?

MB is not compatible, you need ddr4 for ryzen mb. PSU can be tossed. Use SSD as boot drive, you will see speed boost:)

The Ryzen 5 1600 is a good CPU for the purpose you mentioned. But take note that you NEED to upgrade also the motherboard and the RAM for such CPU to be compatible. Your current motherboard does NOT support the Ryzen CPUs and also does NOT support DDR4 RAM (which Ryzen requires).

The current GPU you have is also a very weak one for gaming (it's more in line with basic office/movie watching use). Upgrading to the GTX 1060-6GB will give you top-of-the-line GPU for 1080p/60Hz gaming. Such GPU is recommended to have a good-quality 450W PSU (ideal to have 550W if budget permits, so as to give you allowance should you upgrade to a more powerful GPU in the future without replacing such PSU). Your current PSU (not sure what the model is) *might* be of low-quality/build.

In short, if you are considering the above-mentioned CPU and GPU upgrades, you would technically be overhauling your entire system (almost a whole new PC), with the only components that left to be re-used are your HDD, case, fans, and peripherals.

Thank you very much! I have around $800 to work with so this sounds good enough for me. What can I do with the parts that I replace? Can i sell them individually or something? I'm pretty new to all of this haha.

Ebay is better than craigslist :) Also you will need a clean OS install due to change to major parts. HDD can still be reused. Just make sure you are not booting with HDD anymore and wipe out OS from HDD later. good luck.

Sorry, one last thing. Could I keep the motherboard and ram that I currently have and get like an AMD FX-8350 cpu (or something similar that is supported by my motherboard) instead of the Ryzen? Comparing them, Ryzen looks like it is far superior, but I'm not sure if it is too much or not. Just trying to get the best for my money. I did some research and it looks like the GTX 1060 6gb won't be bottlenecked by the FX-8350, but I do want the best for my computer so I need some help deciding what to do here. Also, is a new windows 10 needed any time you switch to a new processor?
I greatly appreciate all the help!

I am using win7 with my Ryzen, only issue is you don't get win7 updates related to CPU but I don't mind. Other updates are still good. You may only upgrade CPU to higher FX series if you choose to and can find good deal. If too expensive, you may consider the Ryzen route:) Follow your heart.
