Hello everybody! I've been using Tom's for a long time but this is the first time I've had to ask a question of my own. I recently bought a graphics card off of craigslist a while ago. I noticed today that the fans on my Zotac 1050Ti were completely still. Under load I'm hitting around 86 C+, which I initially thought was way too hot for this card. Any tips?

Yes, I've tried to set custom fan curves in MSI afterburner, thought I haven't tested the EVGA program yet. I also tried manually setting my fan speeds at 100%, no luck there either. I've also tried to use a different PCI-E slot in my desperate attempts to get it to work. I'll keep trying!

Alright I just did what you said and fans are still stuck. I can't exactly RMA this card because I bought it second hand. What's your experience with replacing fans on graphics cards? I tried to spin the fans with my finger and they are wound pretty tight and don't move easily.

if the fans are not moving it looks like the motor issue and you cant replace the fans unless you find the dead old same card
other wise there is no option to replace is as you can not buy they are not sold online
but the temp max going 86'C how much good the airflow in your case if there are fans in side and bottom that will be good so that it will keep the GPU temp lower

One more thing Remove the GPU and see if the fans fins are blocked by something or not

Okay so I just got home from lunch and did what you suggested and no luck. Nothing blocking the fins and virtually no dust on the card. Do you think I'll have to buy a new card? I also thought of rerouting the fan cable into the motherboard, to bypass the card's board. My thinking is that if there's a problems with the card's board the motherboard should be able to send the fan signals for it. Any thoughts?
