Hello everyone, i was wandering what should i change first on my station.
Right now i have unclocked Fx8350, 12 gb of ddr3 (1333) and Palit Gtx 970 with 3.5 gb of ram.
I was going to change my team to Blue and buy i5-7600 with a set of new ddr4 ram (16gb) and a new motherboard, but also i was going to buy gtx 1070. And i have money only for one of those. So, where i would get higher perfomance? With new cpu and old gpu or vise-versa?

If you are still open to using AMD Ryzen (which has better CPUs/IPC than the older FX series), you may want to look at this parts:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($196.74 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard ($102.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Trident Z 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($163.88 @ OutletPC)
Total: $463.60
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

* Note that the motherboard may be substituted for other B350-chipset (OC'able) models that are less expensive

If you...
Not sure what resolution you are gaming at, what graphics settings you use, what games you play, and what refresh rate your monitor is capable of displaying. Your GTX 970 is a solid performer on 1080p/60Hz (even at 1440p/60Hz-75Hz).

On the other hand, the AMD platform you have has a dead-end upgrade path and cannot accommodate more powerful GPUs without such CPU possibly hindering its performance.

So, considering these scenarios, if I was in your position, I'd definitely keep the 970 and upgrade the CPU, MB, RAM first to allow me the opportunity to get better and more powerful GPUs.

However, I won't get an i5-7600, instead, I'd seriously consider an unlocked CPU with more threads (such as the i7-7700K or the Ryzen 5 1600/Ryzen 7 1700).

Im using 1080p and 60ghz monitor. What about i5-7600k? Cause i7's are expensive for me and 7600k with mb and ram will cost me 550 usd and that i can afford.

If you really want to try out Intel, the i5-7600K is also an "option" but due to the 7th-gen Kaby Lake (LGA1151 socket) nearing its end-of-life (Coffee Lake and 300-series mobo *may* not work with 7th-gen CPUs), plus the non-threaded 4-core/4-thread performance of an i5 *may* be limited for some in present-day PC gaming use, you might have to spend a lot more as the i5-7600K (like the i7-7700K) doesn't include a CPU cooler and some good-quality Z270 motherboards (for the Intel 7th-gen OC'able CPUs) costs more than Ryzen's B350-chipset OC'able mobos:

CPU: Intel - Core i5-7600K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG - H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($34.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI - Z270 TOMAHAWK ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($129.89 @ OutletPC)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($156.34 @ Newegg Marketplace)

Alternatively, with a $550 budget, you can fit in an i7-7700K by just getting an 8GB 3200MHz RAM kit (instead of 16GB), which you can add to later on:

CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($309.00 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG - H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($34.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI - Z270-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($91.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3200 Memory ($87.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $523.86
