i built my pc a few months back and my games have been stuttering badly since the start. ive tried absolutely everything my ram isnt bad everything is compatible. i even have a gsync monitor, yet my games still micro stutter and lag. its very weird some games like overwatch and gta 5 run flawlessly other games like witcher 3 bf1 and old games run absolutely terribly! skyrim and borderlands 2 micro stutter and lag like hell. i dont know what else to do ive tried everything and if i cant get this fixed im gonna just sell everything off. please help ive wanted to game on pc for years, finally saved up and dumped 2 grand on a pc and my experience has been so annoying and frustrating. Borderlands and probably Borderlands 2 caps your framerate based on the speed of your video card, unfortunately or fortunately graphic cards have gotten much faster and the ancient algorithm they use caps the framerate at a very low unplayable speed with newer video cards. You can go into the config file and increase the framerate. Even turn off the frame rate cap which is around 62 frames per second. Here is a link:

This link is for Borderlands 1 but there is probably a similar fix for Borderlands 2.

borderlands 2 isnt capped for me the refresh rate is variable and it still stutters and drops. even when i lock the frame rate to 60 it still micro stutters and lags.
