Been feeling that my setup is being slower than it should be with my parts.
Is there something in my setup holding my computer back?

Specs:
GPU: MSI GTX970 4Gb
CPU: Intel i5 4690k
RAM: 16gb DDR3
Motherboard: Z97-SO2

Stock coolers on everything
Stabile temperatures on everything
Nothing overclocked.
Windows on a SSD and a toshiba 1TB HDD for bigger things.

My fps dips down from around 60 to 40-20 om many games where i'm playing om medium graphics. Like rainbow six, for honor and borderlands 2.
I've seen benchmark videos of other people with my specs getting alot better frames with higher graphics than me.

Well i have my OS on a SSD but it's probably my HDD wich makes things load a bit slow.

I i scanned my hdd with gsmart control and everything was normal except for two mechanical start failures?
Is that something to worry about?

I scanned my ssd with the program too and Used Reserved block count came up red.

Not as sure on the SSD. However on the mechanical drive, if I start seeing too many errors, as cheap as they are, it might be wise to replace it.

May check it with Crystal disk info to see if it reports errors as well. Although with gsmart, I also like to take a look at the attributes section. If this are marked in red, then I prefer to replace the drive as well if I can.

For the SSD, you may check to see if the manufacturer has a recommended diagnostic tool you can run on it.

Well the attributes section was free of red.
I also noticed that my harddrive was 5% fragmented so i defragmented it just to be sure. Maybe that will help.
