Device with unchangeable static ip will not connect to router

I have a D-Link DI-524 router and I am trying to connect a device with a preset static ip of 10.10.121.4 to the router so that other devices can connect to it. The device in question does not support dhcp as far as I can tell so any settings must be on the routers end. The device is connected with a wired connection to the router. The device also has been tested by using a crossover cable to my laptop. So I know that the device is not broken. (Yes I know the device is vague but it is a very obscure device for controlling evaporators in walking coolers and freezers)
The router can be connected to with the ip 192.168.0.1.

Without checking, my guess is that router isn't capable of addressing IP addresses in that range. [See the detailed specs, they're online at DLink's website].

You'll probably have to search for a router or switch capable of handling that address ... and that may very well mean commercial grade equipment rather than consumer grade.

Going from 15yo+ memory so I might be off here. 10.x.x.x. is a class A "play space", and your equipment can't see it because it's not in the same range if it's on 192.168.x.x. If you move all your gear to the same 10.x.x.x range then it should all work. Not sure if your router and what not can do that.

The 10.x.x.x space is private IP addressing, so your DLink is capable of being set to use 10.10.121.x.

Just a question: When connecting to the device directly with a computer, is there a GUI available that allows you to change the device's IP address? I'm sure there must be a method for manually changing the address (if not the subnet then at minimum the host address).
