CPUs for FM2 motherboard

I currently have this motherboard:
ASUS A55M-E-R FM2 AMD A55 (Hudson D2) Micro ATX AMD

It has an FM2 socket and I have an AMD A10-5800K for a CPU.

I want an upgrade to a 8-core CPU but there don't seem to be many FM2 CPUs.
Are there any other socket types that fit with FM2? Or would my best option be to change my motherboard to one with AM3+ or another more "popular" socket type?

am3+ is even dead and old, am4 is the newest for the AMD side of things, but then you'd need new RAM as it's all DDR4, and if you have an old PSU or stuff, you pretty much need a new PC at this point.

AM3+ has been replaced recently by AM4 so not a lot of AM3+ models are still available new.

Well, all my parts are pretty up-to-date. My CPU is the only bottleneck. My Power supply, RAM, and GPU are too good for my CPU. Having said that. Would you say the best thing would be to buy a Motherboard with a AM4 socket?
