So I bought a power supply. it said it comes with two 6+2 pci-e connectors for my graphics card but it has two 3+1 pci-e connectors. I'm buying a gtx 1060 6 gb sc edition gpu. can I put two of the 3 pin connectors into the gpu or do I have to buy a new psu or adapter? My friends said I don't have enough volts to give to the gpu but I don't know what to do.

Solution
PCIE should hv nothing to do with the CPU power as they should have a separate cable connecting to the power supply.
If ur power supply gives enough power (e.g. 400w) and if u got the cables done correctly, then u are good to go.
