Hi!
The GPU driver keeps crashing, causing the computer to restart when doing tasks that are heavily using the GPU (rendering, texturing game assets...) . The crashes are totally random, sometimes the occur after 5 minutes, sometimes after 5 hours.
I've monitored every sensors using GPU-Z, but not found anything suspicious, except that GPU-Z doesn't have a 12V sensor for some reason.
In the past when I had an AMD R9 270X card, the driver crashed very rarely, but the computer didn't restart, just the screen went black for a few seconds.
Is there a way to prevent the computer from restarting?
Specs:
GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX 1080 (EVGA)
RAM: 32GB DDR4
CPU: Intel Core i7 5820K
PSU: CoolerMaster B600 v2 (600W)
Motherboard: MSI X99S Gaming 7
