Two bay HDD Dock drives magically lose partition

I hope someone can help me out here.

I have a HDD two bay dock connected to my PC via USB3 port. One drive is a 3TB and the other is 1TB. I use the 1TB for media files (movies) and the 3TB is my backup drive.

At least once a week these drives magically loose their partition information and become inaccessible (OS says disk need to be formatted). Disk manger reports the drives as Raw.

I use EaseUS Data recovery to recover the data on the drives, reformat them and restore the data (an 8 hour process). Rarely, chkdsk /f will recover the drive(very rarely).

I thought it was the dock so I replaced it with a different brand--same problem. I tried different USB ports and different hard drives--same problem. I am using Win10 which is automatically kept updated. The computer has absolutely no issues except for this very annoying one. Prior to the failure both drives work flawlessly reading and writing on a daily basis.

The 3 TB drive (backup) is accessed automatically by EaseUS backup program three to four times a day, writing a 23gb compressed differential backup file.

For the most part, the drives fail when I am not using the computer I.e. Overnight. I suspect that the backup program starts up and tries to access the drives when the failure occurs but I can't be sure about this. One thing that is for sure both drives loose partition at the same time. It has occurred, on occasion, while I am working on the computer.

I leave the PC powered on 24/7 and it is setup NOT to sleep, although the monitor is set to turnoff after 10 minutes. The 3TB drive has about 700GB of data on it (all compressed backup files) and the 1TB drive is about one third full with about 700 video files. All the data is available via EaseUS data recovery (thank goodness) but, as I said, it is a very slow process.

I have scoured the WWW and haven't been able to find an answer to my particular issue. I may be searching incorrectly -- I can't believe this is happing only to me?

Any help will be greatly appreciated .

I went into device manager and unchecked the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" attribute under Power Management for the USB Root Hub (3.0). The problem hasn't occurred since so I am assuming the problem is solved (least I hope it is).

Well, it seems as if I am the only person in the world experiencing such an issue. I notice only six reads and no replies. Got a note from some sort of forum moderator indicating that my post may not be clearly communicated -- don't know how better to describe the issue.
