A gtx1050 should give you very good performance. Anything above that might get bottlenecked. But you need to change the PSU to a better one, if you have not done that already.

you are going to need to get a new power supply
i5 2400 or better
8gb of ram
with a gtx 1050 ti
minimum for newer games at 1080p with decent settings and fps
( with the i5 you should have no problem jumping up to a gtx 1060 if you wanted to )
