I am using an rx 470, have it overclocked +50mhz on core and +100mhz. the power limit is at max and temp limit is 85, nothing changed on voltage.
i have tested the overclock with 3dmark firestrike and unigine valley and it seemed stable, even with -6mV on voltage, no stutters and no artifacts. but i tried playing csgo and after about 2-5 minutes of playing, the screen goes black, falls to desktop and then goes back to game but shows stock clocks. why is this and what is the fix?

Solution

Right but I'm saying try a lower overclock and see if it fails similarly. Then try again with no overclock if it does. This will determine if its the overclock or maybe something else causing the problem.

I let valley run for around 15 minutes. That should be enough for it to test if its stable since its running at 100% gpu usage and speed for that long right??

Ok i put it down to +30mhz on the core but left memory at +100mhz and played 11 rounds on casual csgo. no crashes or resets to stock clock speeds. i think its safe at that.
