I've been working on a server build for my basic lampserver website, because my crusty, 15 year old laptop running ubuntu server 15.04 isn't going to cut it.

Do you guys think this would be a decent server build?

NOTE: I had to choose silent parts as this is going to be in my living room. Also, I want to know if its necessary to have the fan.

Why are you buying an ethernet adaptor and a GP? And that PSU is a fire hazard. Do you really need a DVD player in there too? And a 32GB SSD is worthless.

The motherboard has onboard ethernet, the CPU and motherboard have an iGPU. You can barely install Windows on a 32gb ssd (and you can't update it - not that you need windows anyway but thats really not much storage and an SSD won't help in serving a website), for 10 bucks more you can get a 1TB hdd and never worry about storage ever. If thats too much sound then at least consider something bigger. And yes a cooling fan on the CPU is necessary, as well as at least 1 fan to feed it from the outside. Why not put it in a closet maybe?

For the PSU get a Corsair CX450M, cheap and...
