Quick question, I have a FP3 cpu socket type processor and would like to upgrade my current processor to an AMD A10-7850K. However, that socket type is a FM2+. I did some research and apparently the FP3 is the mobile counterpart to the FM2+. With that being said, are the two compatible?

No, one is a desktop APU and the other is a laptop APU that's probably soldered to the motherboard depending on the model.

Mobile counterpart means the like "underlying technology" is the same, but the socket itself is actually different.
