Hi so I have a new hdd I want to put in my pc it already has windows on it, and when I plug it in it doesn't boot into windows. So if anyone could help me that would be great
Windows doesn't like being moved to a different system so reformat the Windows partition on that HDD, then re-install Windows afresh with the HDD fitted to same PC you intend to use it on[/i].
By the way, if that HDD already has Windows on it, it can't be a new one as you claim. New HDDs don't have anything on them, not even a partition.

What does it do, exactly? Or not do?
Taking a random HDD with an already existing OS, and putting it into a different PC...often does not boot up.
