GTX 1080 Ti - Should I upgrade to newer 12 GHz VRAM?

I currently own the EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid, which has 11 GHz VRAM speed. EVGA just released the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 Elite Gaming, which has 12 GHz speed for the same amount of money. The Elite Gaming is air cooled though. Should I upgrade?

I would lose the closed water cooling, but would gain 9% more memory bandwidth; from 484 GB/s to 528 GB/s. What should I do?

That speed increase is so small you'd see the same if you'd OC your existing VRAM. And still end up not wasting a lot of money. I get almost 12000 Mhz on my Aorus 1080ti when overclocked. I do get 3-5 more fps with core clock +75 and VRAM +350 at 4K ultra in games like Witcher3.

The more the merrier, right?

If it was going from 6gb to 11gb then I'd say the memory will help with textures, but going up by 9% probably won't even be noticeable.
