Just buy the card that costs low bcoz both cards doesn't heatup that much .You can easily oc eithrr out of the box .No point in spending more money for slight more clockspeed .Coolers performs the same
AORUS comes with slightly more clock speeds and different cooling design, and has better OC capability.
If u just do normal gaming, then G1 would be good enough for u, the fps differences are not noticeable.
Both cards should OC well. But the G1 on 980ti had coil whine for many people. The Aorus is a lot thicker so you'd need to make sure you have room. But the cooler is much better looking and runs better, usually it doesn't even bother to spin the fans until I start really loading demanding games.
In the end what matters most is luck. Getting a good card that can OC higher. Otherwise, checking the base clocks gives you your winner. And I think Aorus has higher base clocks usually.
