So i overclocked my 4690k to 4.7ghz about two months ago. The apu is paired with an h100i and maxed out at 80-81 degrees while gaming. Prime95 made it go higher but prime is a lie anyway so who cares right. Anyways, the clock seemed to be super stable untill a few weeks ago where it started to bluescreen and crash. Since then ive been doing several stress tests to find out which component could be the cause. When using Aida64 ive done a combined stress test using cpu, fpu, cache and ram. 2 mins in and a crash, so i have redone the test only testing the cache and sure enough another crash. To verify ive tested with all except for the cache and i get no crashes.

How can i resolve this instability with my cpu's cache, or is this hardware failure?

Solution
there is a thing called CPU cache ratio - try to lower it to under 40. you can also try to increase the cache voltage.
if it does not help, start lowering your clocks until it stable.
