High CPU while playing games.

Hello,

So last week I started experiencing FPS Drops while playing PUBG, I thought that it was just the game that had the problem since it released a patch last week, though I know that it should run smoother because it got optimized for smoother gameplay. Reinstalled it thinking that I had a faulty installation but after installing it again I had the same results. So I started playing DOTA 2 and also noticed that my FPS is Dropping and checked that my process shoots up to 100% when I check the task manager, CAM Software also shows that my CPU Load is at 90-100% while GPU Load is half or lower than what my CPU Load is. I tried reformatting my PC and I still got the same results. My CPU overheated last month when I played games without noticing that my Kraken Cooler's Pump already failed, but that didn't affect my gameplay once I changed it with a different cooler. It's just last week that my fps keeps dropping and process started shooting high. Temperatures when I play is around 40-45 degrees so I doubt that it's overheating. Could it be that my CPU is damaged? Using an Intel Core i5-6400 2.7-3.2Ghz and a GTX1070 Strix OC.

If You Have A Motherboard Who Support Intel 7th Generation So I Will Recommend U To Change Your CPU i5 6400 to i5 7400
And I Think Your CPU Is Highly Damaged ,Don't Blame Cooler It's Time To Blame Your CPU

So which processes are exhibiting high CPU usage? Could you post a screenshot of task manager when this happens?

I would be incredibly surprised if the CPU was damaged - they are one of the rarest things to fail in a computer. It just sounds like something keeps trying to run in the background while you are gaming, causing slowdowns.
