I know that there are quite a lot of forums about this but nothing has giving me a good solution.
When I open task manager I see that the Windows Software Protection Platform Service is sometimes taking up 50% of my CPU. I've tried a lot of things to fix it but nothing has worked. I saw on a different forum on another site that said it is because I have a non-genuine windows which is true and that this protection service thing will stop using 50% of my CPU if I activate windows. Sometimes it will stop using up my cpu a few seconds after opening up task manager so I never know if it is always happening.
So I have 2 questions:
1.)Would activating windows fix my problem?
2.)Could this have an affect on my PC's performance in gaming because I have noticed that I have not been getting the framerates I should be getting in games?
Sorry if I explained things badly. All the help is appreciated.
