This is the old stuff

System Manufacturer Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model GA-MA785GMT-UD2H

Processor AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 550 Processor, 3100 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)

4 GB ram

This is a home computer. No gaming, web browsing is its primary use. I run two monitors.
I do run MS office and work with spreadsheets occasionally. I may have a couple of spreadsheets open at once and a couple browsers.

I am indifferent to AMD vs Intel

I recently added a SSHD so I am good there. My DVD player went out a couple years ago and I rarely miss it. My old motherbaord had an integrated video card. I purchased a separate video card and used it until it went out then used the integrated video. I am again, indifferent to built-in video or adding a video card.

This is what I am looking at: Any feedback would be helpful

CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Desktop Memory Model CMK16GX4M1A2666C16
MSI B350 TOMAHAWK AM4 AMD B350 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD RYZEN 3 1200 4-Core 3.1 GHz (3.4 GHz Turbo) Socket AM4 65W YD1200BBAEBOX Desktop Processor

Im not sure I can wait--October 5th is that right?

What about this intel build

Intel - Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor
ASRock - B250 Pro4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3200 Memory

Forgot one main thing, I am not sure the integrated graphics in that g4560 will support two monitors. AMD is famous in this regard due to eye infinity. But I dunno abt Intel HD graphics. But yes, the above specification will suit you best. But drop down the ram to 2400mhz ones.
