I just OCd my 1950x cpu to 4.0ghz and updated the asus motherboard bios. Now the LCD screen readout on the motherboard reads 252 degrees Celsius for the CPU temp! I read that number immediately on startup so I'm pretty sure the CPU could never get that hot that quick. I checked CPUID HWMonitor and the CAM software for CPU temp. The weird thing is both are reading between 0 and 4 degrees Celsius, which I know is way to low for a computer that been running for a while. All of the monitor software and motherboard LCD previous displayed a CPU temp of around 32 degree Celsius before the overclock (which seemed right). All fans are working, and I just ran CineBench and the CPU got a score of over 3400 so I guess it is working fine. The air being blown out of the case is also cool.
I just want to make sure I'm not going to melt my computer lol. Bad temp sensor? Should I reset bios? Any help is much appreciated.
