Hey all I have gotten some mixed messagves about what type of SSD to buy. My motherboard is a https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157762&cm_re=asrock_ab350m_pro4-_-13-157-762-_-Product. I had someone tell me to buy a m.2 SSD and I'm all for that, but I have no idea if I should get m or b+m or if it's even worth it. I'm looking for about 500gigs of memory if that helps at all. Cheers!

Here you go ... Samsung 850 EVO M.2 500GB.

Can't go wrong with Samsung, they manufacture superior SSDs.

The 960 EVO is way better (it uses a PCIe interface, not a SATA interface, and hence is about 6 times faster) but costs a hundred bucks more.

Make sure you use the correct M.2 port for whatever SSD you buy (your mobo has one M.2 port for each interface type) and adjust your UEFI/BIOS accordingly. Refer to your motherboard's manual for further instructions.

Cheers,
Gaius

$150-175 if there is significant reason I can go above that, but it would have to be serious performance differences.

Edit: Of course if there is a cheaper and reliable version less isn't an issue :D
