Hi, this is my first PC build. I haven't bought anything yet, but I have a list of what I think I want. Id like to be able to run games smoothly in 1080p, possibly in 1440p. I would also like to be able to multitask with Chrome, Photoshop, or video players. Please give your opinions and suggestions about anything you think I don't have, or could change.(I'm definitely missing a few things) I still need to choose a monitor, but I think that's sort of a separate deal. I'm definitely open to downgrading things that are unnecessary. My budget is around 1500-1700 dollars, no more than 1800 hopefully (not including monitor). However, if I could fulfill my needs for cheaper, by all means tell me. Thank you in advance for any help!

The new PSU looks great. For most new builders that's the area they try to save money in and they shouldn't.

A 7700k, 1080 GPU, Z270 Mobo, 16GB of Ram, you're going to be set for awhile. There's nothing to criticize here. Personally I don't like TT cases, I would buy a Phanteks case instead for functionality and quality build. But you'll be able to get it put together so as long as you like the way the case looks, don't listen to this old man.

You can easily fit your computer inside a mid tower. It's up to you- I personally prefer the giant cases. But if you're in an apartment you may prefer the space for something else.

I do like how Phanteks look now that I've seen them.
I might get this: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe PH-ES614LTG_BK Black Aluminum Exterior/Steel Chassis https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M5JOEPJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_LRjYzbYZ08QPN

And yeah, I'll definitely wait for coffee lake. Looks like a better newer CPU for not much more money.

Do you think this PSU is as good as the one in my list?: SeaSonic 650-Watt ATX12V/EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply SSR-650RM https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00918N4A0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_nUjYzbCXJD81N

I just built in that Phanteks case like 6 weeks ago!!! It was the best experience I've ever had building a computer. You'll be blown away by the quality, and the WEIGHT....let's just say it's NOT mobile. And if it gets stolen, there may have been 2 robbers. It's the real deal.
