Solution
If this is a new build then it needs to be modified, the first build is what I would do. There are some issues with the component selection, to me it is not a balanced build. Note that I have gone from Intel to AMD for CPU.

Second build is my estimate of cost to build this from new componenents. Pricing is from PCPartpicker, I find you can usually shave a couple of bucks off here and there but it is pretty close. I had to estimate the pricing for the GPU and PSU.

But I suspect this might be a used buy, here is my evaluation of the components.

  • ■ Overall: Mid level build with CPU/GPU capable of running 1440p at high settings while maintaining 50+ FPS in just about all games. Would not run 4K well.■GPU: The GTX 1070 is a great...

  • ■ Overall: Mid level build with CPU/GPU capable of running 1440p at high settings while maintaining 50+ FPS in just about all games. Would not run 4K well.■GPU: The GTX 1070 is a great card for the money and the Gigabyte Founders Edition is very decent 1070■CPU: 6th gen top of the line i5 capable of good overclocks. Still a very valid CPU for today's games although it might struggle with some of the very CPU intensive games.■RAM: Here we start to go off the rails, Decent quality RAM but 2400 MHz is a little slow for an overclocking build■ Mobo: And we really go off the rails here, this is a low budget mobo which is incapable of overclocking, bad pairing with a high end K-type i5 CPU.

But a really good SSD.■HDD: Good mid-level 2TB, I often recommend this HDD.■Case: Decent budget case■CPU Cooler: Decent budget air cooler although there are better ones in this price range.■OS: This is the full version of Win10 so you will be able to move it from machine to machine (as opposed to the OEM version which you can't).
