Hi,
I have recently upgraded to Ryzen 5 1600 on a B350 tomahawk motherboard. I have a gtx 1050 ti 4GB and I am getting 40 fps on medium on Battlgerounds. I understand that the game is really badly optimised, especially for ultrawide screen which I am playing at (2560X1080). However my friend who has the same cpu, and a 1060 is getting 100 fps at the same settings on the same game. I have a game max case, with a cooler master 212 evo cpu cooler and 4 case fans. Temp is not an issue even while playing, and i have already upgraded the mobo bios, hoping that would help and it didnt. I am on my last wit, PLEASE someone help!
Update - i benchmarked on the game Shadow of mordor, Average FPS on high settings was 50, average on ultra was 46, surely there is something wrong. on my old rig i was getting 60 fps on med-high

Seems about right for that game with your CPU and your video card and resolution. Did you look at some benchmarks for the game for your video card? http://www.pcgamer.com/best-pubg-settings/ You can't compare a 1060 with a 1050Ti, the 1060 is quite a bit faster in the game as you can see in that link. And that was done at 1920x1080 not 2560x1080, which means your results will be lower due to higher resolution.

What is confusing me though is the fact that changing it from v.low to high doesn’t change the FPS from 30-40

Your AMD CPU is limiting it then, again check the benchmarks. Intel gets a decent speed boost while using the same video card. I think with a 1060 using Intel vs AMD got another 10-15 FPS with the same card and settings.
