Rate my system, and how future proof it is.

CPU: i7-7700
GPU: EVGA 1060 SSC
PSU: EVGA 700 B
Mobo: Z170 Pro Gaming
SSD: 250 GB Evo SSD Samsung
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
CPU Cooler: M9 Cryorig
RAM: 12 GB Ballistix Sport (Don't remember the exact model)
Case: HAF 912

Solution
If we could predict the future, we'd be perusing stock market sites.

CPU - lack of K series is limiting here.

MoBo - generation older than CPU

SSD - has plenty of legs

HD - kinda slow already

Case - was great case in its day but a bit long in the tooth for a 7700 build

RAM, not sure what's up there ... dual channel board w/ 3 x 4GB ?

GPU - 1060 is fine for 1080p but EVGA SC / SSC is not one I'd pick. The EVGA VRM thing will hurt resale.

PSU - Sometimes users lave old systems here when we build new ones, I wouldn't reuse that PSU

If you stay at 1080p, I can see this PC in use thru mid 2020.

This will cause the memory to run in single-channel mode, I believe. Best is to have a matched pair of RAM sticks so that the system will run dual-channel.
