I recently bought a ASUS Strix 1080 and installed it to my ASUS z170-A motherboard over the weekend. Everything was working fine until I made some changes in the BIOS and I ended up having to remove the CMOS battery last night to get things back to normal.

Computer is starting up fine now with the exception that my GPU fans are running extremely fast even when I'm just doing basic things like watching a movie. When I check in GPU Tweak or Hardware Monitor it shows that my GPU fans are at 0%. I'm still pretty ignorant when it comes to these things but I'm wondering if anyone could have any tips to resolve this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
GPU tweak should allow you to adjust fan speed on your gpu (http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/vga/Manual/Q10790_GPU_Tweak_II_manual.pdf page 6). Some models (not sure if yours is one of them) also have a start/stop function for the fans or so page 4 says.
