Hi,

Okay so, the GTX 1050 has roughly the same( but sometimes less ) performance than a GTX 960. I know this because I have researched the performance of both card before buying mine, which is a GTX 1060 6GB. If I were you I'd save (I know this isn't your budget or answering the question) for a GTX 1060, the 3GB version will be sufficient which is around $250 I think here - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/evga-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-3gb-gddr5-pci-express-3-0-graphics-card-black/5622835.p?skuId=5622835

Honestly it has 3GB of Vram which is better than even the 1050 4GB on any day. The performance difference from the 670 to 1060 will definitely be more "future proof" than the 1050.

Hope it helps.

I would not say it is wrong, but I have found looking at benchmarks done in a controlled environment such as Tom's Hardware does and then comparing the results, is the best way to gain information. Then always search on YouTube for some benchmarks on some games you will be playing and see if the tested benchmarks add up to what you see.
