Hi all,

I was playing the other day and had a sudden power outage. The electricity came back after around 10 mins and I forgot to unplug it before that. After that, I get problems running my games but I dont have any problem in the desktop or watching videos. The games just freeze then I have to force quit the game. I dont get it all the time. I would go hours without any crashes. But sometimes I get crashes every 10 minutes.

I then changed my GPU thinking it was an nVidia issue. I am using RX 580 now but still get the occasional crash. I was thinking it was my pcie slot but I was guessing if it was my pcie that was fried, no display would come up. Am I right in the assumption?

I was also thinking it could be my psu. I am using Seasonic 620w. It might have been damaged. Should i start there?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

My best guess is the PSU. If the PSU wasn't outputting the correct voltage to the graphics card(due to damage) you could have crashes in games. I would look into replacing the PSU but its very difficult to be sure. If you have a spare one lying around you could swap it in.
