Hi!

So I bought my PC a few years ago and it's been a good machine but GPU needs replacing. Specs are here: https://support.hp.com/sg-en/document/c04010525

The GPU I'm looking at is MSI GeForce GTX 1070 DUKE OC 8GB Video Card and PSU Corsair VS Series 550W from mwave. Not sure if my processor needs upgrading, but it been a pretty zippy machine and seems to run games (like Overwatch) that are CPU dependent surprisingly well.

I'd like to upgrade graphics to a GTX 1070. Not sure whether it's even possible though with my current system. I'm also not sure if any of my current specs would bottleneck the rest. Any advice would be appreciated and thanks in advance. I've never upgraded a PC before, so I just want to make sure I'm buying the right thing. I don't want to have to buy an entirely new rig as it would be too expensive.

The GPU uses 150W itself, so I believe you will be good with the 550W. Your current computer has 300W, and I never like taking it close. And I dont see any reason why the 1070 wouldnt work.

And nice choice for GPU, look beautiful and performs very well

EDIT : Under the GPU's webpage (https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1070-DUKE-8G-OC/Specification), it even says, it recommends a 500+ PSU
