Confusion in choosing a monitor.

Solution
I googled your laptop to see how the GPU performs. I read that it is based on gtx 680 and that at 1080p you can get 44fps in BF4 and 62fps in Bioshock Infinite. Those games are more demanding on the GPU then FIFA or COD, however I don't think you get any big wow numbers in getting a 144Hz monitor. So, should you buy one?

I'd get a monitor if you plan on one day switching to a desktop pc, where you can have higher end components on the cheapside (when compared to laptops). Or if you want the monitor for movies on a bigger screen than your laptop.

But if you want a monitor for a boost in fps for gaming...I'm not sure it is worth it. Yes, you can tweak some settings to get better fps but that might mean you are in the 80fps territory...

If you keep dropping settings you can get 100fps. The extra fps only helps in FPS games. So, choice is up to you. That laptops GPU is not strong in 2017. So, I wouldn't expect to much improvement in getting new monitor.

In FIFA and COD how many fps are you getting now? You can use FRAPS to monitor and record fps data.
