I'm wondering what CPU I should get to upgrade my server, I currently have a X5550 and was thinking I'd upgrade it to a Hexacore CPU. The only problem is they have a £15 price difference for 0.13GHz so I was wondering whether this will actually make a difference as I run game servers like DayZ mod on it and it recommends at least 3GHz for that?

i wouldent upgrade at all, you would not see any improvemt with a x5670 becuase they are so old, i would wait and upgrade to a Ryzen 5 1600 / R7 1700 / i5 8600k. And running servers the R5 1600 / R7 1700 / i5 8600 will run them fine

oh ok, I was thinking about Ryzen but thought I might just be able to squeeze out a bit more performance out of my old server but if I wont see any improvement may aswell get Ryzen.

yeah, i would get the best ryzen cpu you can get, a 1920x might even be an option, but if you cant afford that this is what i wold get

I'd love to get a 1920x but sadly I don't have that much money lol so probs have to stick with the ryzen 5 but will still be a massive improvement over my current server.
