92 dollar 2gb Sapphire r9 270x vs 69 dollar 2gb msi gtx 750ti, which is better value?? Consider psu a non-factor. My PC specs are:-
6gb ram
i5 2400
gt 210 1gb ddr3(lol)
1 tb hdd
I am looking to play GTA 5 , cs go,tomb raider, Witcher,etc

Solution
The 270x is 32% faster on average @ 1080p

Those cards are a bit weak for Witcher 3 and GTAV.

750Ti is way better for that price. Most games prefer the 750ti over the 270X anyway (in most common benchmarks). It will probably run quieter and a little cooler as well. Best of all, the 750ti is priced better.

That being said, it's worth saving up a bit and buying a 1050 instead. There's no point in buying old gen hardware. 1050 will run better than both of those two by quite a large margin.

1050ti is way better (plus, new GPU will have warranty, latest driver available, etc)
if u see in my PC specs, u can see that mine is almost identical as yours (though my RAM is 8)
and trust me, on high settings, AAA titles these days (and the future-upcoming) will use more than 2 GB VRAM, now i'm not saying that 1050 is a bad GPU, it's just going to limit your settings (while the 750ti will be a GPU bottleneck for your system on those games, R9 270x gonna suffer the same fate as 1050 imo, lack of VRAM)

i'm playing GTAV @ 768p and i already use 2.4-2.5GB on high settings (remember that this is on 768p, 1080p should use more imo)
if u go with those 2 GB VRAM, u'll have to compromise with the settings which would be a waste of performance there (since ur GPU can do better, yet u had to tune down because the lack of VRAM)

to answer the main question though:
i'd personally stick with the sapphire R9 270x since it offers more performance [they are on a different tier i think, the performance gap is pretty big there], which imo, worth the extra price :)

though u might gonna hate the temps and power consumption

forget bout the 1050
(almost identical performance for approximately 50$ less, same VRAM size, R9 is the better choice here [though the power consumption will be higher])

Not sure I agree with Justin on the first point. Tom's Hardware's graphics card heirarchy chart http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html
has the R9 270x a couple of rungs up the ladder from the 750Ti and it scores higher overall on graphics card benchmarch as well https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
I'd suggest you read Tom's review (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-750-ti-review,3750.html) and compare it to the R9 270x on the various game benchmarks they did back then although none of the games are likely to be ones you're looking at playing now.

Definitely agree on the second point though, you'd be much better off with a GTX1050 or a RX560 or if you can stretch to it, a GTX1050Ti.
