Hello all,
I am currently having one Nitro 380 4gb on a mining computer with a 6700k. I want to put another r9 290x. Whole system draws 205w from the wall while mining. My PSU is an EVGA 650 G2 and i know that it has wattage room to support another 200 even 250 and 300 watts. But what about the amperage? Its 12v+ is rated at 54.1 A. Will it be able to support both cards? Thanks.

Solution
Amperage (A) is equal to power (P) divided by voltage (V), i.e.: A = P / V
If you are currently drawing 205W and we assume it all comes from that 12V rail, it means you're already sipping 205 / 12 = 17,1 A, so you still have room for 37 A, or 37 x 12 = 444 W. So yes, you have ample room for another GPU, even an R9 290X. Hope this helps! :)
