Try to keep it short but basically my monitor blew after 6 years so good life but was looking to go to a triple monitor setup as i always wanted one. So been looking at what to get and needless to say little bit overwhelming. So my comp specs as of right now are

CPU: I7-4770K 3.5 GHZ 8mb
HDD: 2tb stat-III
Memory: 8gb DDR3 1600MHZ
Motherboard: Gigabye Z87-HD3 intel
Power Supply: 800W
Video: AMD Radeon HD 7950 3 GB 16 x

So i was looking to upgrade the Video Card and montiors at the same time to these

Video Card

Is the triple monitors of that to much to handle?

Just looking for recommendations or help just dont know if that is the way?

Thanks

For 3 monitor setup? That would be either 1080ti or Titan Xp, the top two cards now. But even with them in some games you would need to reduce detail settings to fully use 144 Hz monitors.
Do you plan to game on all three? You would effectively have 3K 144hz screen. I don't think 1080 can handle that easily, some games perhaps, but newest ones on high/ultra details - no. Single such monitor would be no problem for that GPU on the other hand.

Yeah, he'll have to game on just the middle monitor.

GPU could not handle it. I mean you could play on all 3 screens, but you would not be getting 144 FPS in many games, which does not make much sense on 144 Hz monitors. I see two choices for you:
- stay with 1080, but buy three 60 or 75 Hz monitors OR
- get those 144 Hz monitors, but buy stronger GPU
Or like I mentioned in first post, stick to just one screen for now. Lifespan of typical monitor is much longer then lifespan of GPU. I guess in no more then year we are going to have GPUs that can handle 3 such monitors easily and cost no more then 1080 now. So you could then buy 2 more monitors and upgrade GPU again. That's how I see it.

Thanks so much for the quick replies by the way nice to chat with someone that knows stuff as you can tell i am new to this and dont want to make a dumb purchase.

Okay so basically one terminology question when you say GPU - does that mean like the whole setup i have would need upgrading? like not just upgrading a couple components of it?

Thanks again for all the help!
