Hi,

I have an iMac which I have a Win7 Home Premium partition through BootCamp on. I decided to upgrade to a 1TB SSD and am having issues getting my old windows installation to the new SSD.

I have successfully partitioned the 1TB SSD into a 800GB Mac patition and a 200GB Windows partition. If I install windows onto the new 200GB partition, how can I get my setup across?

I have tried making a DMG of both partitions in Disk Utility, but only the Mac partition worked.

So, how can I get my files, settings, programs, etc. to the new SSD partition?

There are programs that will clone your windows installation from one drive to another https://lifehacker.com/5839753/the-best-disk-cloning-app-for-windows as windows requires different formatting and dmg files aren't going to cut it.
The problem will be the boot partition, and that I'm not sure how you're going to clone over or if you're just going to leave it as is on the old drive. See if someone else chimes in on this issue, I've just left it on my old drive myself, until I had to reinstall everything.

YEah I've had to remove the Windows partition, get BootCamp back, and will manually reinstall everything. Just a pity that Mac OS and Windows don't share a filesystem and partition type!
