I have this Lenovo unit: http://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/Lenovo_Tablets_and_Convertibles/YOGA_720_15?M=80X7006NUS

It has two USB C ports, one with Thunderbolt 3. I would like to use this monitor with a dual-monitor set-up on a docking station, preferably with as high-resolution monitors as possible (4k if possible). I'm not going to do any gaming, mostly just office-related stuff and watching the occasional film. Can you recommend me good hardware (monitors and a docking station) that is going to work reliably with this unit? (If the monitors are good, the docking station should probably be equipped with a fan because this machine appears to be prone to overheating.)

Thanks a million. Send me referral links if you want to (if this forum allows it) so that I can repay you for the help.

You can Easily run two 2k monitors.....
Also Even Two 4k but only while doing general stuffs(videos and all) but if ur gaming Then..... Downscaling will be Ur Best Option.... Also there are Older Game Titles which the GTX 1050 ti can Handle Easily.... Just saying if ur into that

In terms of can it support - the answer is probably yes, but support it well in general? doubtful, ive seen someone running a 3 monitor display on a 750ti (each monitor was 1080p so total its practically 4k res) but in terms of will it support it well in gaming - the answer is a highly probable no. the minimum GPU i would reccomend for 8k is a 1070, the 1050 is nowhere near to being powerful enough to running 8k smoothly, while you MAY be able to, i still highly doubt it

I would Also Suggest Stick to two 1080's cause u may want to save Some GPU juice for Ur Other Video Memory Jobs
And Basically the GTX 1050 was Designed for 1080 gaming so Game at 1080 and Maybe use 2k/4k for general stuff
