Alienware Aurora gaming pc pcie m2

the alienware aurora has says it has pcie m2, but doesnt actually use the word nvme, if i buy this pc can i replace it with the samsung 960 nvme pcie m2 that i saw on newegg.com? please help thank you so much everyone

the pcie x4 just says how many lanes it uses of that available. In most cases, this means 2 or so sata ports may be disabled (do check your motherboard manual/manual that came with the pc) but its nothing to worry about if you are just getting one.

an m.2 drive using the pcie interface is nvme. so yes you can use your 960 in that m.2 slot :)

the newest model that is on sale now on the website right now, it just says alienware aurora nothing else, cuz i was looking to buy a budget pc that had the new nvme, wanted to buy a hp, but they dont offer it pls help, i have no idea what pcie x4 is, it just says it on the samsung 960 nvme
