What is your experience about warranties and opening chassis on desktop PCs (HP Pavilion Ram Upgrade)?

I posted on HP forums but no answer, they have no live chat, and the sales staff in Thailand don't speak English...so can't get any help!

I plan on buying an HP Pavillion(HP PAVILION 550-159I - $390) , really good deal on it. But it only comes with 4 gigs of RAM...

Some shop said there's a sticker on the chassis and if you open it you void the warranty, is that true or even possible?

How can I upgrade my RAM?

Ask the retailer to do it?

Wait for HP to show up on site (it has 3 years on site warranty)?

Opening the side of the case surely cannot void the warranty.

users are allowed to add in an extra memory stick - i guess it depends on the rules of the country though!

Why are specs not good, cause odense motherboard? My other choice is to self build with an i5 7500 and ASUS motherboard, but for the same price no graphic card...

Am I better with an i5 7500 integrated graphics and Asus quality motherboard versus the HP i5 6400 with geforce gt 730 GPU?

Thinking about self build again!

Great advice, looked at the list but don't game at all, however heavy multitasking, and sometime Adobe Photoshop and AI, opening many tabs also, I'm looking at that list now;)
