Hi I have a Dell 1.5 tb HD I would like to use it for storage but it has the Factory Restore Partition on it. My new SSD has the OS on it now. Can I delete the C: partition and format and use it for storage and if I ever needed that "Factory Restore Partition" it would still restore the C: back to Factory Fresh Drive?
Would just formatting the C: drive be better or that would leave the MBR on there and confuse the boot process?

Solution
Yes, you can kill all the partitions on it, make new one(s) and use it for anything you want.
One caveat before you do that. Make sure you can boot of SSD without HDD connected because if you left it in during windows installation, part of it may have been used for boot. Just one thing, C: is only a disk partition you BOOT from, old C:\ would have another letter if you BOOT from SSD.
